There are several different types of caddies, so verify your computer model works with this caddy.Once you do this, the caddie works well.

The fact that this product has to exist is horrible, however the tray was great and way less than an oem tray. If you made the mistake of buying a Dell XPS you can at least feel less dumb by buying this instead of the Dell branded one.

Like others I had been waiting over a month for the HDD caddy from Dell with repeated shipment delays so I bought this one. More expensive than Dell, but this one actually ships. Fits perfect in Dell XPS 8950. I put an HDD-size adapter that holds two SSDs into this caddy and then the caddy snaps right into empty space in the top-left of the Dell XPS 8950. Anyone who said that it didn't fit must have been installing it upside down.

I bought this Hard Drive Caddy for my Dell XPS 8950 Desktop and it fits perfectly. It matches the Dell XPS 8950 OEM part number “65KHD”. This caddy is well made of solid material, easily slides into the drive bay, and snaps securely into place. The higher price for this one was well worth it as compared to a cheaper $10 one I had purchased (and returned) that was flimsy and not a solid fit. Very happy to pay the higher price for a quality product.
