I bought this to run in because I have Lupus and the heat just makes it unbearable for me. I wore the vest twice and it worked great! The only issue I have it that after the second run one of the bags used for keeping the vest cool popped open.

Simple to use, fits great per size chart.Small and easy to pack for race travels.Just stick packs in the freezer overnight.Other packs or ziploc bags with ice can also be used once original packs melt.

I think the design will work if you are small.

I’m in Hong Kong at present where the real feel on my motorcycle reaches 50 Celsius. It’s keeps me cool and lasts about 45 min (keeping me cool that is). That’s a long time compared to others I’ve tried.I do plan to use it for running and cycling too but if it lasts on my motorcycle in the presence of hot air beaming down at it, it’ll be fine.I have a CORE device and it does affect core temp in a good way (ie. Keeps it down).I’ve ordered another cooling vest - cryovest (from France) and am interested in comparing that €350 device with this.

I got it a little too late in the season for outside use. It works for indoor stationary bike, but was a little too cool, and was better with an undershirt. The material is very thin and light. So the cold of the ice is felt almost directly on the skin. How long the ice will last outside in the heat of the day, I don't know, but will find out, on the first hot day of the year. The box says that you can buy additional ice packs and replace them if needed. I think this is not tenable. The vest is already heavy with the four packs it takes, then to carry more, not only adds weight, but by the time you replace them, there may not be much cooling power left. Nonetheless, I think the product is a great idea and will benefit endurance riders, such as myself. For interested readers, I have added a little more of my personal experience.I am a century rider and like riding in the heat of summer. It has its downsides, but that's where the endurance is tested. After some, not-so-pleasant heat stress experiences, I started using cooling strategies for hot rides. I froze water in small size zip-lock bags and put those in my riding jersey pockets. The distribution wasn't great, but it helped. When the water was melted, I poured it over myself, and brought the empty bags back. That worked well the times I tried it towards the end of this summer. I may actually use the zip-lock bags in the vest we are discussing here. It gives me a better distribution of the ice than the regular vest that I used last summer, and I can still pour the water over myself, cool more and cut the weight of the "dead water". The evaporative cooling you get from the pouring the water on yourself is quite good, but doesn't last very long; it is also used towards the end of the ride anyway, so it does its job.
