As the instructions note, your rope will require multiple layers. I didn't really understand that until Day Two. The stuff is runnier than I thought it would be and takes a LOT to build up.

good product. I love when a product does what it is supposed to do. I have used it with diff. types of rope and many leather projects, have had very satisfying (great) results, diff. colors are great for crafts, no more frayed ends. I also use it to secure leather and rope windings, works Great !!!

I used the Dip-It Whip-It to secure the ends of 12" pieces of rope I was using to make a way to quickly identify our luggage on the airport carousel. In the past, I just knotted the rope and let it be but it always shredded at the ends. I bought the Dip-It and after following the instructions, I had 8 pieces of rope with tight ends. The stuff is a bit messy to work with so you need to be aware of that. Otherwise, it is a cheap alternative to purchasing caps for the ends of rope.

It is a little on the goopy side, so you need to be careful with your application, but. it is very good! I used it to put a protective coating over my splices and lock stitched whippings to seal everything! it works very well, probably the best thing you could use on synthetic ropes! I am impressed with the end result. remember though,, several thin coats, not one heavy coat!
