I’ve been searching for a while to find something that’s both pet and wildlife friendly and completely chemical free to clean the astroturf-covered perches and artificial grass mats around my pet owl's aviary. This natural, probiotic cleaner from Pro-Kleen ticks all the boxes!It’s very easy to use. I mixed a large bucket with one part of the product to ten parts fresh tap water, filled a 2-litre handheld spray bottle with the solution, and poured the rest into a watering can. I took all the mats outside and gave them a good soaking with the watering can. At the same time, I scrubbed the perches with a stiff brush while spraying them with the solution. I let everything soak for the suggested 20 minutes, gave the dirtiest areas another scrub , and then rinsed the mats thoroughly with a hosepipe and the perches with fresh water from the spray bottle.The cleaner worked really well, even removing dried-on bird droppings, which are notoriously difficult to get off. Everything smelt clean and fresh afterwards. I wouldn’t quite say it smells like freshly cut grass, but it’s still a very pleasant fresh scent.A 5-litre container makes 50 litres of product, so it’s also incredibly good value for money!I’m happy to thoroughly recommend this Pro-Kleen natural cleaner and feel it fully deserves the five-star review I’ve given it.For your peace of mind, I’d like to emphasise that, as a Vine Voice reviewer, I’m under no obligation to write anything specific. I've used this cleaner on my plastic grass which often needs cleaning of birds droppings and other animal mess. It does work quite well, I have it stored in a pressure spray hand pump so that anytime I need it I can just get it out and give it a spray. The product is easy to use, you just add it with water 10:1 or stronger if it's very dirty, and spray it on. After 20 minutes rinse it off.I'm slightly confused about the non toxic claim, because it warns that the substance may cause an allergic skin reaction. Also you have to rinse it off and let it dry before letting pets near it. If it really isn't toxic, surely it wouldn't be dangerous to humans or animals?At £16.95 for 5 litres, which makes up to 50 litres, this is reasonable value and will probably last quite a while, but I wonder if you could just use washing up and a jet wash and get the same effect. Washing up liquid wouldn't have the side effects.

We were debating the best way to thoroughly clean our greenhouse before putting all the seedlings that we had grown indoors into it, last year we didn't get around to doing the annual May clean and boy was the greenhouse mucky!Our greenhouse is not huge but it is a glass greenhouse as opposed to an acrylic one, this makes cleaning a little tricky as we can't use anything like a pressure washer to clean it! We had put some green plastic shading over the glass panes a couple of years back and this had trapped a lot of debris and had created quite a lot of algae that was stuck to the glass, we needed something to break down the algae that was safe as we have dogs but also something that couuld be rinsed away with a standard hosepipe.This Pro-Kleen ProBio enzyme based artificial grass cleaner came up and we thought that chances are it would do what we wanted on the greenhouse! We used a slightly stronger mix of cleaner to water than recommended and used a garden sprayer to entirely go over the inside and outside of our greenhouse, after a cuppa we returned with the garden hose to rinse everything down and was pleasantly surprised with the result! Not all the muck had gone but a very large amount had been broke down and washed away already which left a definite visual improvement.A second application of the diluted Pro-Kleen was applied and again off we went for half an hour or so. Another going over with the hospipe left us with a very clean and clear greenhouse and with the rest of the day being warm and sunny it soon dried out inside.The next day we moved all of the seedlings out into our lovely clean greenhouse and so far all but one Pepper plant has settled in and acclimatised really well, we are very happy with the end result of our efforts but also know that the Pro-Kleen done most of the hard work and we simply drank tea and pointed the hosepipe in the right direction!A very clean and clear five out of five stars for this product, it's not just for artificial grass or patios!

Excellent cleaner. Much better than others I've used which just create a lot of dry foam.Just mix 1 part solution with 10 parts water and pour. I use it to spot clean areas that are dirtier than others or where my dog tends to pee. I then brush in with a dedicated artificial grass brush.It has a strong scent when mixing but it's not noticeable on the grass.Pretty good for the price and should last a while. Would definitely recommend.
