I bought this to organize my traders for an upcoming trip. I love the size, not too big and not too small. It holds a decent amount of pins. When it’s full it can easily weigh 10-15 pounds… possibly a little more. It’s definitely not something you want to lug around the park all day. I started rearranging pins to add likes together and noticed some pin posts were bent. Some ever so slightly but others were REALLY bent. The picture I’ve attached doesn’t quite show just how bent it is. This wasn’t the most bent pin either. If it was 1-2 pins I wouldn’t say anything but I have at least 20-25 pins with bent post. If the pages were more like the uncovered pages it would be incredibly hard for this product to be beaten by a competitor. Overall the size and functionality is spot on for me but the damage to pins is hardly worth the price point of this book. Pin collecting is too expensive to use a product that could damage your item especially when perfection is paramount when you’re trading higher value pins. I added pictures to show examples of the different size pin combinations that a page can hold and an example of the bent pins.

The strap to carry the pins broke off after only having it for 2 days. I would say the carrier can only hold 400-500 pins not 1000. it does hold the pins really well, but just disappointed that the handle to carry it broke.

My sister has been using Pinfolio for a while because she has a large collection of various pins. I got this as a way to keep my collections together and as a way to transport them when needed. I love that the "pages" have a soft covering and the black of everything makes the pins really pop. There's also a plastic "sheet" in between the sections so the pins don't scratch each other. The "pages" are thick and double sided so you don't need the pin backs to store the pins in the folio. I can easily move the pins around if I need to which is also convenient. The price is a little hefty but it's a quality product. I've probably got about 200 pins of various sizes with a page and a half of room left over.

Original review Sep 30 2021: This works exactly how it's described. It holds a lot of pins- when my pin collection inevitably grows beyond its current borders, I'll probably buy another one of these.There *is* a strong chemical plastic-like odor when you get it- bad enough I aired it out for several days by leaving it open in a ventilated area, and it still wasn't great- but over the months it's faded to something reasonable. I'd imagine it would fade faster if you were opening and closing it more. But other than that, it's been great.Be aware I guess, the plastic sheets between each pinboard to prevent scratches on pins don't always reach all the way to the edge of the page below, just because of how you end up closing the bag. So, for most of my pins I give them a little extra protection by pinning them and the cards they usually come on to the board while still in the clear plastic little envelopes they tend to come in. It's worked well.Edit Feb 17 2024: Works great, about to buy a third one. Please note that I do not use the strap to carry these; for me they are strictly a compact storage solution. When you add things to the pockets, they can lay significantly less flat, so keep that in mind if you are stacking these somewhere. Also the price has gone up- 93.50$ usd before tax in Jul 2021, 99$usd in late March 2022, and now 110$usd in mid February 2024. So that is unfortunate.

The product is great and functions exactly as advertised BUT the plastic protectors between the pages have an overpowering, extremely strong chemical smell. It’s disgusting. I have to keep it in the garage! It concerns me anytime I’m putting pins in the book what could be happening to my body. The odor is so strong and has not gone away even after trying to air it out for WEEKS. Super disappointed b/c I wanted to get several more. But this makes it a definite no. Annoyed I spent this much $ and they sent a product that I’m unable to keep in my house on a bookshelf where it belongs. My wife can’t be in the same room if I’m putting pins in it. It’s that bad. I’m not one to leave negative reviews but this is just unacceptable.
