Totally disappointed with these chisels. Out of the box they are dull. But that is not the real problem. The tip on a couple of them is not straight.And the bevel is not consistent.I had to spend about 2 hours to bring them to a usable state. That is not expected at this price point for a product which claims to be premium

Not my first Narex, this time I get the premium with the hope the sides are realy at 1mm... not true, there are some iregularityes.But I will not deminish the product, as I say: One of the best chisel for the money. Yes... you can go and buy a Veritas... but you will pay for one cisel same money as for this entire set.And by the way: the steel in Narex is much more better than the Veritas, Veritas are litle bit on the soft side, easy to sharpen but lose the sharpness quite fast.Narex: You will spend litle bit more to sharpen... and you need a diamond stone... but once you sharpen it holds the edge very very well (specialy on hard wood)PSI own allot of chisels, I will give you my personal opinion:Pfeil- Best on his price range (litlebit expensive)Two cheries- My best chisel with inegalable priceNarex- third place

J'étais à la recherche de bon ciseaux, j'utilise beaucoup de matériel flexcut, beavercraft ou encore kirchen, mais soit je ne trouvais pas le produit dans la marque ou alors à un prix prohibitif. Je me suis donc tourné vers la marque Narex dans ce qui me semble un milieu de gamme. Et c'est une très bonne surprise. Alors oui, un affûtage est nécessaire, mais rien de bien conséquent, le tranchant d'origine est déjà dans sa forme et son tranchant de très bonne qualité. De toute les façons, un affûtage s'avère pratiquement nécessaire sur chaque outil neuf. À l'essai, tout se passe bien, presque un sorti de boîte et utilisation. Le coffret est bien pratique, je suis plutôt nomade et cela m'évitera d'avoir à en fabriquer un. Ce qui m'arrange fortement. Bref pour un prix correct, des outils tout à fait corrects. Je recommande.

Die machen einen hochwertigen Eindruck, fühlen sich gut in der Hand an, aber das wichtigste, die Klinge, ist meiner Meinung nach einfach zu ungenau geschliffen. Kann man natürlich nachschleiffen, aber für 119€ erwartet man zumindest, dass die Klinge gerade ist.

Son unos formones de acero de mucha calidad (inclusive los mangos de una casi desconocida y excelente madera de Carpe), las medidas son adecuadas para la mayoría de las aplicaciones. La caja de madera es perfecta para el almacenaje y buena protección de los mismos...Consejos para sacarles el máximo rendimiento:- Vienen con una resina de protección para evitar el óxido, pero que cubre el filo, recomiendo eliminarla- Hay que aplanarlos por la parte posterior y pulir la misma con unas piedras especiales de diferente grano (hay videos en Internet con instrucciones).- Pulir el filo respetando ángulo- No son inoxidables (Cr-Mn), hay que protegerlos con algún producto siempre después de su uso (introducir también una bolsita secante en la caja)- Emplear maza de madera para golpear la parte posteriorLos recomiendo totalmentePegas? No se me ocurre ninguna

ottimi scalpelli , molto belli esteticamente e con un buon metallo. Il box in cui sono contenuti è molto carino. Ottimi se si vuole far eun regalo ad un appassionato dei lavori in legno senza spendere un capitale.

Ich habe mir das Set gekauft um meine billiges Sortiment, das sich über die Jahre angesammelt hat, abzulösen.Die Stechbeitel sind schon bei Ankunft nahezu perfekt geschliffen und bedürfen nur sehr wenig Arbeit. Die Rückseiten waren allesamt vollkommen gerade. Die Schneide hat einen Winkel von 25° und hält ziemlich lange bis sie nachgeschliffen werden muss.Der einzige Mangel bestand darin, dass sich die Box nicht komplett hat schließen lassen. Die Halter waren an einigen Stellen nicht tief genug und mussten etwas nachgearbeitet werden. Nichts was einem Handwerder schwer fallen sollte...

Super Qualität zum moderaten Preis. Kaufentscheidung wurde auch von Holzwerken.tv und Heiko Rech beeinflusst. Bereue den Kauf auf keinen Fall.

Ein tolles set aus hochwertigem Stahl.Die griffe sind sehr komfortabel aber nicht versiegelt - was gut ist damit sie nicht in der hand abrutschen. Wer nicht will das sie verschmutzen kann sie mit ein bisschen Öl oder Schellack behandeln.Die enthaltenen Beitel bieten eine solide Grundlage fur jeden denn dieses set als sein erstes erwirbt.Das set kommt zwar geschliffen daher, must aber noch super fein geschliffen werden damit die klinge "Schreiner" Qualität hat.Einmal geschliffen halt die klinge dan sehr lange.

... der Schliff hat mich nicht vom Hocker gehauen und die Eisen sind recht leicht. Dabei war der Schliff eines meiner Hauptaugenmerke bei der Bestellung: Ich wollte mal sehen, wie scharf Beitel sein können, um einen "Benchmark" für meine eigenen Schleifkünste zu haben, ich habe eine recht einfache Ausrüstung. Sie waren gefühlt auch unterschiedlich scharf.Beides keine wirklichen Negativpunkte (das Gewicht ist Geschmackssache, und schleifen kann man selbst), aber es soll ja bewertungstechnisch noch Luft nach oben sein.Die Arbeit mit den Eisen macht Laune, das ist das wichtigste, und optisch und haptisch sind die Dinger top.

Ich habe mich lange nach Stechbeiteln umgesehen, die sowohl qualitativ aus auch optisch Top sind.Auf dem Blog von Heiko Rech bin ich auf Narex aufmerksam geworden und ich muss sagen, ich habe den Kauf nichtbereut. Qualität zu einem sehr angenehmen Preis!!

After spending a good amount of time looking for a decent set of carpentry chisels, I finally settled on the previously unknown Narex brand. I was not disappointed.The construction of the chisel is solid, robust and in my opinion virtually faultless. The handles are fitted with a polished brass ferrule over Hornbeam wood, which is extremely tough and resilient to the mallet. In addition the handles are good and chunky making them very comfortable for larger hands.Each chisel is nicely ground and the bevel tapers to a tight edge, making these ideal for dovetailing, in addition to general work. Straight out of the box, I spent about 5 minutes on each chisel to achieve and a razor sharp edge. I've had regular use from these chisels for a good few months now and they have required minimal attention to keep the edge perfect.Narex supply this set of six in a suspiciously high quality lined box. It almost seems a shame to transfer them to a tool roll.If you're looking for a quality set of chisels and are on budget, these are a great choice. If your looking for a quality set of chisels and are NOT on a budget, these are still a great choice. Just be sure to invest in a good quality sharpening stone.
