Really well made beach / sandpit shovels lot of fun for the kids. Solid made - metal head and wooden grip. 3 in the set which get you really good value for money. Definitely must have to keep kids busy on the beach.

These shovels are perfect for days out at the beach. They are made well, a solid build. Great that they come in 3 different colours so it's clear which one belongs to which child. They provide hours of fun!

I bought a couple of these metal beach shovels for a recent trip to the coast with family, and they turned out to be a great pick. Unlike the usual flimsy plastic spades, these are strong enough for both kids and adults to actually dig with whether it’s building sandcastles or tackling tougher sand and soil. I personally wouldn’t let kids use them. They’re dangerous and can hurt someone.Pros:• Sturdy metal blades — no bending or snapping, even when digging into compact wet sand or loose garden soil.• Comfortable wooden handles — smooth, splinter-free finish and just the right length for both kids and adults to use without awkwardness.• Perfect for beach or garden — we’ve also used them for light gardening jobs like digging up weeds or planting small plants.• Great size — not too big for children, but not too small for adults to actually be useful.• Old-school charm — the metal and wood combo looks classic and feels much more durable than cheap plastic versions.Cons:• No rubber grip or handle padding — hands can get sore with long use or if your grip is sweaty or sandy.• Might rust if not dried properly — being metal, you’ll want to rinse and dry them after beach use to avoid rust spots.• Wood can fade — the wooden handles look nice but could benefit from a varnish or sealant to keep them looking fresh longer.Suggestions for Improvement:• Add rubber or foam grips for extra comfort during longer use.• Pre-treat or seal the wooden handle to prevent wear from moisture or sun.• Offer a set with different blade shapes for digging, scooping, and edging.Overall, these are solid, practical spades that are great for the beach, garden, or any outdoor digging. These beach spades are very well made and suitable for both kids and adults. I was surprised to see that the blade is made of real iron and painted nicely. The pole is wooden, which gives it a strong feel. Only the top handle is plastic, but it is not weak or brittle. It feels solid and easy to hold. The size is just right for digging in sand, and even works fine in the garden or for small snow jobs.We used them during a beach trip, and they held up well with no bending or damage. My kids enjoyed using them, and I also found them useful as an adult. The edges are smooth, so I didn’t worry about safety. Overall, this is a good set of spades. The paint may wear off after long use, but for the price and quality, I’m happy with the purchase.
