I have a Siemens bean to cup machine that is still running after 17 years. Throughout that time I have always used a water filter. This is for a number of reasons but the main ones are flavour and preservation of an expensive machine. Inevitably there are so many different types available that it can be just luck if you can find a good filter at a decent price.Looking at the base of these three filters it is fairly easy to see a few differences. This model is the left hand filter and is the only one whose outlet section is entirely enclosed. In my opinion this seems to be the best design by forcing all the water through the centre-most section.The other two filters are open by different amounts and the outermost right is a warning to always change your filters when the machine tells you to do it. That one had gone hairy.I ran the water filter charging program a couple of times and then waited for thirty minutes before making a coffee. Good clean result.

I use these for my Siemens EQ bean to cup, and the official Brita filters cost a small fortune. I try to get derivatives when I can, because they're often much cheaper, and do the same thing. These fit perfectly into my machine, and filter my water as required. Not much more to say! They do the job they're required to do, and cost less than you'd pay for the Britas. Win/win.

Our Siemens coffee machine has the facility to add a water filter, but its use is optional. Although our water supply is very good, every so often we get a chlorine taste and smell. Water filters like this one can overcome this. So, we decided to use the machine with a filter fitted.This pack of six filters arrive separately sealed in plastic and stored in a cardboard box. On my machine, they are easily installed directly into the water tank. The one we had in there was over 12 months old and was definitely in need to be changed.There has been no noticeable difference using one of these new filters, so it’s doing its job well. When you pay a lot of money for a coffee machine, you don’t want it to be spoiled by poor water quality.Overall, they do the job well. I hope that helps.
