Put these on my cub cadet zt2 without drilling any holes just used a 2 inch long half inch bolt with a washer and lock nuts used the long holes that were holding the plastic spacers in . I’m a 400 lb man used 4 springs works great,

These new springs were taller than the original ones on my 2015 Troybilt Bronco Automatic. After installing them, the mower would start sputtering as if the seat safety switch was malfunctioning. I disconnected the seat switch and have had no issues since then. This is not a recommendation to do so on your own mower; just an example of what worked for me.
