Don't be put off by the review of these canvases having messy edges - I think that person must have got the set made by the new start or an in-development robot because the pack I got contained well made canvases with nice neat edges. Go figure!I was a strictly-paper artist until I got these little canvases, so testing them out with acrylic paints was a bit of a learning curve. Me: Oh, wow, this is different!" Not gonna lie, the art I produced wasn't up to much, but the good news is that the canvas stayed flat without warping as I worked, and took the paint well. Although it had been pre-primed with gesso by the manufacturer, I felt it could probably have done with me putting another coat or two on as I used up quite a bit of acrylic to get coverage when I started painting. I've read that laying a few coats of gesso down first is a thing to do, but I totally didn't bother. Now I know why it's suggested!Anyway, I'm reasonably pleased with how my painting turned out. Not entirely dreadful for a first go with acrylics. I'm looking forward to my 2nd to 5th attempts using the rest of this pack - and, indeed, to buying another. At a quid a pop, I think they're decent value, and I'd even go as far as to say that I'll buy the bigger size next time.

These are perfect for smaller works of art, used with acrylic or waterproof paint. They are thin and lightweight. I purchased a very small easel to display my daughter’s artwork done on these canvases, but they could also be secured to the wall using c*mmand strips. A less than a pound per canvas, these represent great value for money.

I think these are pretty decent for budget canvases. They are pre-primed which has been done evenly and well, although I like to give even primed canvases a quick coat myself.They are heavy weight board with cotton canvas over top, neatly finished with a paper cover on the back and have some flex to them. A bit on the budget end of things but are perfectly good for practice or beginners and I can recommend.

These are nice little canvases that seem to suit a range of mediums well. They are small and thin, but sturdy, so you could even post them once decorated as gifts. At £6.99 for 5 canvases the price is good too.

My daughter's recently begun following in my arty footsteps, and has taken to painting with acrylic paints. I've steered her to canvas as a medium, and these 5 panels were great for her "seasons" project for school where she painted 4 x boards representing the seasons.The boards are nicely made, and the surface is flat and hard, perfect for acrylic. The board receives the paint well, and doesn't change shape or warp during/ after drying.Overall, for under £7, this set of 5 boards is great value and we'd recommend.
