John Wick ist einfach ein toller Film! Die Geschichte ist spannend und voller Action, und Keanu Reeves liefert eine fantastische Performance als der unaufhaltsame John Wick. Ich liebe die Mischung aus intensiven Kampfszenen und der tiefgründigen Handlung, die den Charakter von John Wick auf eine sehr fesselnde Weise entfaltet. Der Film ist durchgehend unterhaltsam und bleibt nie langweilig. Es ist definitiv einer meiner Lieblingsfilme! Die Atmosphäre und die Welt, die aufgebaut wird, sind einfach einzigartig. Wer auf actiongeladene Filme mit einer starken, emotionalen Geschichte steht, wird hier voll auf seine Kosten kommen!

Gestern Teil 4 gesehen (den ich zu überladen fand) und jetzt nochmal Teil 1 geguckt. Teil 1 macht im Gegenzug zu Teil 4 alles richtig. Knackige 91 min und keine 153 min. Top Action, aber nicht nur Action. Der Film überzeugt auch mit ruhigen Momenten. Der Cast ist klasse und der Film unterhält von Anfang bis Ende.

La caja es bastante bonita, justo como se ve en las fotos y lo mejor de todo es que trae dos monedas que son tal cual reproducciones de las vistas en la película, la verdad es que valió la pena tan solo por las monedas y la caja, me gustó mucho.

Edición super genial, ya tenía rato sin comprar Steelbooks y con esta recordé porque los amaba. Incluye un par de monedas del continental.

Al fin se me hizo conseguir esta gran película en Steelbook y qué mejor que con 2 monedas de réplica edición limitada de regalo! Si la ves disponible y eres fan de John Wick no puedes dejar pasar! Lo que más me gustó es el arte del Steelbook, 10/10.

Well, that was bracing! Welcome back Keanu! This little film that could got fairly dazzling reviews from critics and fans alike as it is stripped down, fast paced, edgy action fare. There are levels to this picture and solid acting on Keanu's part which make John Wick more than a standard revenge pic. A later expositional scene between John and Viggo Tarasov (Michael Nyvquist) blasts the veneer of a basic revenge actioner and reveals the true cause of this reckoning laced foray in one painfully delivered epiphanic statement. Honestly, the film could be a great film simply from a dramatic standpoint on coping with loss. I know it is still vogue for many to undermine and diminish Mr. Reeves as a one trick pony, but any who do so have not seen him in Sam Raimi's "The Gift" where he truly acted formidably as a vicious, hateful and memorable character. His foray in Constantine (also somewhat derided) illustrates that this man can reach beyond straight laced action performance. The scenes noting his relationship with his wife, Helen (Bridget Moynahan), her passing and the loving gift she leaves him to aid in his moving on afterward are beautiful. The interactions between John and Daisy, the beagle puppy his wife leaves him, are poignant and emotionally rendered. This however is not a drama so we know bad things will occur to our protagonist and when they do, we feel immediate outrage as without knowing his backstory, we give a damn about John and this is the strength of this film.The creators of this gem, David Leitch and Chad Stahelski formerly part for the stunt team from the groundbreaking Matrix franchise do a terrific job at making this film fantastically, frenetically physical. This film is David Leitch's directorial debut. The martial arts fighting in this movie is fast, close quartered and intensely effective. The duo create a John Wick mythos without previous source material. Within ten minutes of the film you are aware, believably, that John is a man you should not tangle with. The deeply personal point of "you never really know someone so you should probably respect everyone" is epically depicted. Really, the whole onslaught is brought about by an incident of disrespect from a younger man toward an older man over a car. I have no doubt that many a battle has been triggered over some small matter. This film illustrates this notion succinctly at a tight 92 minutes of pacing, violence and due gravitas.The main players besides John are Viggo, head of the New York Russian crime syndicate, his son Iosef (Alfie Allen), the great Willem Dafoe (Marcus), an unknown variable and associate of John's and Ms. Perkins (Adrianne Palicki)* as a fellow assassin. There are other actors who contribute, namely Lance Reddick as the Contintential hotel concierge Charon (so aptly named), demonstrating wry wit, intelligence and knowledge in a few cool scenes and of course, the great Ian McShane as the hotel owner, Winston, playing a role he could play in his sleep, but still delivers with sly gusto. One of the finer touches in this film is that a code of honor still exists amongst people in the assassin trade. The hotel is a refuge for such folk. There is one rule at the Continental and it is that no business can be conducted on premises. All must abide by it or "incur penalties" per Winston later ably demonstrated.*The fight scene between Perkins, who accepts the contract from Viggo, and Wick is top tier. Ms. Palicki currently establishing herself on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. demonstrates her viability as a rising action character."John Wick" is not all grim seriousness however. There is humor and good humor at that. The funny touches include Wick's calling upon resources, such as a clean up crew with ease despite a 5 + year absence from the hitman trade. His ordering "dinner reservations for twelve" and easy interaction with the cleaners is funny as hell. A police response due to a "noise complaint" from the annihilation which occurs at John's house after Viggo orders a strike on him is simply hilarious:Officer Jimmy: John. John Wick: Jimmy Officer Jimmy: You working again? John: No, just some stuff I have to sort out. Officer Jim: Ok, then, I'll leave you to it. John: Goodnight JimmyJust loved this scene, so straightlaced and as such, awesome. Naturally, a man who had been a fearsome hitman working for a host of clients would make connections throughout various agencies. Watching this one in play was just perfect.Back to my earlier point, about not truly not knowing someone. The whole film stems from an incident at a gas station where John is gassing up his vintage 69 Mustang. Iosef and his crew are doing the same when the younger Tarasov spots John's car and compliments it initially before asking him how much, when John states it is not for sale, the younger man insults him in Russian to which John replies in kind. The later violence which ensues at John's home is unjustifiable and reaps massive casualties and due havoc. More finesse marks are demonstrated via Iosef trying to deal with one of his father's chop shop owners, Aurelio (John Leguizamo), who refuses him service then slaps him noting it isn't what he took but "who he took it from." A fine touch is the follow up call when Viggo is about to tear his subordinate a new one for striking his son and Aurelio advises Iosef stole from John Wick. The response of "oh" is telling and the actions which ensue along with the revelation to Iosef from Viggo that John was his master assassin who essentially aided him in building his foothold on organized crime and completed an "impossible task" of eliminating his competition in order to leave the hitman life behind. The association of J.W. with the nickname "Baba Yaga", an East European boogeyman/boogeywoman is brilliant. Viggo's follow up that John "is not the boogeyman, but the man you hire to kill the boogeyman" could be straight fromage, but it isn't. It is chillingly spoken and followed by the cool touch of Viggo singing a Russian nursery rhyme about Baba Yaga as John prepares for war. So goddarn good. Not your standard actioner. Easily lends itself to franchise-ability which is why I am hoping they don't do so. Simply outstanding, adrenaline laced awesomeness which is absolutely well worth your time.

Da ich eine Schwäche für Rachethriller habe, hat mir auch Keanu Reeves Comeback als "John Wick" gefallen. Man muss allerdings die tragische Voraussetzung für seinen Rachefeldzug akzeptieren, denn nicht nur seine geliebe Frau Helen starb an einer Krankheit, osndern auch der kleine Hundewelpe, den sie ihm als Geschenk machte, wird Opfer von russischen Mafiagangstern. Der Tod des geliebten Tieres entfesselt eine Racheorgie ohne Erbarmen."John Wick" ist ein Film von Chad Stahelski und David Leitch, aber eher keine Gemeinschaftsarbeit, da Leitch in den Credits gar nicht mehr genannt wird.Für Keanu Reeves bedeutete dieser Actionfilm aber auch das Ende einer Durststrecke mit einigen Filmgurken. Seine populärsten oder besten Rollen waren "My Private Idaho", "Speed", "Gefährliche Brandung" oder "Matrix" - also Filme, die inzwischen auch schon 15 bis weit über 20 Jahre auf dem Buckel haben. Von seinen neuen Filmen war sicherlich David Ayers Copthriller "Street Kings" die akzeptabelste Vorstellung. Die hat er nun als schweigsamer und effektiver Rächer seines geliebten Haustiers überboten. Ich finde die Rolle passt perfekt.John Wick (Keanu Reeves) war mal ein ganz, ganz gefährlicher Auftragskiller und hat gerade seine geliebte Frau Helen (Bridged Moynahan) verloren. Auf der Beerdigung trifft er seinen ehemaligen Killerkollegen und Freund Marcus (Willem Dafoe). Am gleichen Tag wird am Abend bei ihm von einer Auftragsfirma ein kleiner Hund abgegeben. Der Welpe Daisy ist ein Geschenk der toten Frau, die ihm in einem Brief mitteilt, dass sie ihm diesen kleinen Hund zum liebhaben anvertraut, damit er mit dem Verlust besser klar kommt. Tatsächlich wirkt der kleine Hund Wunder, doch er wird nicht mehr lange leben. Als Wick mit seinem Ford Mustang an einer Tankstelle hält, begegnet er drei russischen Gangstern. Einer davon ist der junge, ungestüme Josef Tarasov (Alfie Allen), Sohn von Wicks ehmaligem Arbeitgeber Viggo Tarasow (Mikael Nyquist). Der junge Gangster hat es sofort auf Johns schickes Auto abgesehen und möchte, dass John einen Preis nennt, für den er den Schlitten verkauft. John lehnt ab, hat aber damit das Todesurteil für seinen Hund unterschrieben, da die Gangster in der Nacht in die Wohnung einbrechen. John wird zusammengeschlagen, der Hund getötet und das Auto geklaut.Bei Aurelio (John Leguizamo), einem Werkstattbesitzer, der darauf spezialisiert darauf ist, gestohlene Wagen völlig unkenntlich zu machen, erfährt der junge Russe zum ersten Mal, wem er ein Auto geklaut hat. John hatte damals den Namen Babaj, was soviel heißt wie der schwarze Mann. Und noch mehr: John wurde immer stärker, irgendwann war er der Killer, den man beauftragte, wenn man einen schwarzen Mann erledigen wollte. Auch Viggo erkennt die Gefahr in der sein Sohn schwebt und da sein Telefonat mit John fruchtlos verlief, herrscht ab sofort Krieg. John ist auf dem Racheweg, sein Kontrahent bietet ein Kopfgeld in Höhe von 2 Millionen. Das Continental Hotel ist ein guter Ort für Profikiller. Es herrscht aber eine Regel, die die Killer einhalten müssen: Keine Aufträge innerhalb des Hotels. Doch das Geld lockt die Auftragsmörder, auch die Killerin Ms. Perkins (Adriane Palicki), die ebenfalls im Hotel eingecheckt hat...der Film ist optisch ansprechend und sieht ziemlich cool aus. Die Action und vor allem Ballerszenen sind gut choreographiert, alles natürlich fein säuberlich abgestimmt auf einen ultracoolen Helden, der immer eine gute Figur macht, egal ob in einer orthodoxen Kirche, in einem Dance-Club oder im Swimingpool des Red Circle. Geballert wird immer und am Ende könnte es sein, dass der Held wieder auf den Hund kommt."John Wick" ist ziemlich stylish und es könnte gut sein, dass der Film zum Kultstreifen aufsteigt.
