These puzzles looked “okay” but were missing one of the dinosaur inset pieces. Returned.

I ordered the "colour" version that has letter and number pieces to help 2 year old learn letter and number recognition in a fun puzzle way, however I actually received the "colourful" version that has 3 animal puzzles instead. A bit disappointing because she already has a lot of animal matching toys, but that's ok, I'm sure she'll enjoy it anyway.- The puzzles seem high quality and are well finished with no rough edges or splinters. The corners are rounded to make it even safer.- The paint seems secure and unlikely to chip off, the colours are vibrant, and the animals look really happy.-The pegs are actually made of plastic, even though the rest of the puzzle is wood.- The picture on the front of the box isn't really indicative of what the puzzles actually look likeIn the Amazon product name, it is rated for age 2-3 and 3-5. I think a 5 year old would find this pretty easy and get bored quickly, but it's a good choice for a 2 year old.

Puzzles like these are great for babies and toddlers who are developing their pincer grasp. The puzzle design is pretty standard for a wooden fitted puzzle. It conveniently has the same image below the puzzle piece so that kids can match the slot not just by shape but by image too. The matched image also helps with orientation which suggests this puzzle is intended for very young kids who are first playing with puzzles.The pieces are large enough that I don't have too much concern with the pieces being choking hazards; however, the edges are a little rough and even splinter-y. Some sanding, peeling, and checking is necessary if your child has a tendency to put these pieces in their mouth.

Für das Erlernen der Zahlen und Buchstaben ok. Allerdings steht alles auf Englisch drauf, was sehr schade ist, denn das wollen wir noch nicht lernen :o)
