The old, heavy and formerly reliable toilet seat broke so a replacement was required. I wanted a dometic one and, of course, everything that dometic makes is now cheap, chinese garbage at premium costs to the consumer.I am so sick of these companies ripping off the consumer with poor quality products.

This seat is a direct replacement for the original seat that broke. Like the original seat it is not that well built and will probably eventually break as well. Price is a little high, there are other Amazon sellers that sell it for about $20 less but they have terrible customer reviews.

This replacement toilet seat is not made of wood or soft-close like the original product.It seems wildly overpriced for a thin molded plastic product.As with many items, the captive RV market doesn't have options.This product does the job but not much more.

Some may feel initially when they receive this that it’s cheap and flimsy but it is everything but that when installed. It is easy to clean doesn’t stain and doesn’t slip slide around it is really sturdy I highly recommend this product
