I've own several pairs of bike shorts. Often, they are extremely uncomfortable to wear, especially under jeans. With this pair, you will give up a bit of the heavy duty buttocks padding as a trade off for a far more comfortable fit. The gel packs will provide what I would describe as only a moderate amount of support. However, these bike underwear you can easily wear under any clothing. I found it a bit hard to believe - I am between a 31" to 32" waist and virtually all my clothes and underwear are medium size. I had to get these in an EXTRA LARGE.

Very comfy cycling shorts, 3D padding designed to allow air to circulate better below the waist. The material is very breathable and stretchy, as well as stylish. There is mild compression overall, with a moderate waistband that does not roll or feel weak.

If you purchase this item and expect to use it as a one-layer system, you will be disappointed. This item is underwear and intended to be worn underneath something else. Of course, you can wear cycling shorts as underwear underneath another layer, but this item will keep you much cooler.This item is extremely breathable, which is great if you are wearing sweat pants to keep your leg muscles loose when it is not very cold. Also, if you don't like the appearance of cycling shorts, this item will be much cooler than cycling shorts if worn under another pair of shorts.Also, be aware that as underwear, it does not have pockets.
