These shelves are attractive and sturdy. They were pretty easy to assemble too. Each of the poles are protected individually by a plastic wrapping during shipping, so there's no risk of chipping.I was needing a place to put some things that were taking up space on my desk, and these shelves were the perfect thing for the job. They use very little floor space, and the things placed on them are highly visible and easily accessible. Just what I needed.

It was exactly what I was looking for. It is very attractive and very easy to put together. If you have small children or a dog it could be tipped over. For the price I am very satisfied with this purchase.

This makes sense as a plant stand but don’t limit yourself to just plants - the size of these shelves is generous and they are connected to the shelf below by just two corners, which alternate with each shelf, making the whole stand look so airy and weightless! You have some assembly to do but it’s so simple, it’s really self-explanatory (although instructions are provided). As a nice bonus, corner pads for the bottom shelf are provided to help with any slick floor issues. This narrow stand is very sturdy. Big benefits for such a small footprint, whether you use if for plants, books, sculpture, or a cat vulching post (ours prefers the third from the bottom shelf, so it stays empty). Or, use it for all of the above and then some.

I’ve put this together, am using it in the kitchen for misc items and have just now ordered a second one to place plants on and maybe some dried flower arrangements in the living room. It isn’t quite stable, but I can use some furniture pads to fix that. IF I had a child running around the house, I would also definitely attach it to the wall once stabilized.It appears to be ironwood as described and not a laminate. There might be a laminate strip around the edges, and I would prefer it if the slab shelves were raw, that the product had a more unfinished appearance, especially on the edges. We have ironwood trees on our property. It is a strong wood, a strong, sturdy tree good for making furniture.This went together smoothly. All the parts were there, and it is definitely worth the $36 I just paid for the second unit.
