I read the negatives. I didn't experience any of them. I have used this to insert dry wall screws through wooden bed slats and sheet metal screws into, well, sheet metal in awkward locations where a regular drill won't easily fit. I use a Ryobi rechargeable drill and have not needed to use this 90-degree at or near the highest torque setting. If you have a portable drill capable of setting it to a less than full torque setting and if you anticipate the need for a 90-degree drilling situation, I fully recommend this product.

A great value for the price! I have used it repeatedly for driving lag screws into 2 x 10 cross members where I had to work between parallel 2 x 10 ceiling joists that are 14 1/2 inches apart. These 4" long 1/4" torx head lag screws require some torque to install, and this angle drill adapter has stood up well without exhibiting any excessive free play or "lash" in the gears, and thus has not experienced any gear tooth skipping. It is also very quiet, as there is no noticeable noise coming from the gears.

I was going to buy one at a local store. It had a plastic body and was bulky. I found this on Amazon and it looked much better. It came quickly and I was very impressed with the quality and size. I used it to install central vac in an existing wall. I wanted to put the intake up higher than normal so I wouldn't have to bend over as far, I'm getting old. I used a 12" bit extension with a 10" long bit. This right angle chuck is small enough to fit into the hole and provide enough travel to drill through the sill plate and flooring, worked great!
